okay, so I think I have started training....well, I started to workout anyway, we'll see how long that last!! I started a journal to keep track of my weight workouts and how much and what kind of cardio I am doing. Here's what I did today:
Abs, biceps, triceps, quads, calves, hamstrings, glutes shoulders, pecs, and back. For cardio and did a 5 min. warm up on the treadmill at 3.2 and then a 5 min. jog at 4.5
Stationary bike-10 min.
Treadclimber-10 min. at 2.6.
It's soo much easier to workout when I'm not working!!! I feel so much more relaxed and certainly can choose anytime of the day I want to workout!!!
I need a new sports bra!!! One with high activity support!! Thanks Shannon for the website Athleta.com. I found a few different kind I'm going to order.
Thanks Chris for finding the 10K to run in September! We need to get registered for that! Also, we can now register for the destination marathon in beautiful San Diego, California!! Rock and Roll !!!Let's try and get consecutive race numbers.
Okay, that's all for now! I'll keep you posted on my progress! Hopefully by writing this blog it'll keep me motivated for the next year!!!
First marathon by age 48
My intentions are to run my first marathon by age 48. Originally, my plans were to run my first marathon at age 40. Once I ran a half marathon, all my desire to continuing training for a full marathon went to the wayside. I quit running altogether. Now, I have met some friends that are willing to run a marathon with me.....Thanks to Jessi, Shannon, and Chris!!! We have decided to make our journey more interesting by running a destination marathon!!! We chose to run the Rock N Roll Marathon in San Diego, CA in 2012! Hopefully writing about my journey to run a marathon will keep me and my cohorts motivated.
Good bras are a necessity. i wear 2!
